Let’s get real about why I don’t include certain creators in my list of people to go to for club education. Motorcycle club education should be given by those who have at least 15 years of experience in the scene. This includes membership in one form or another with a recognized motorcycle club. My list is small and there are reasons for that. One of the biggest things I take into account is the age of the club they were or are in. This is a very important fact everyone who is serious about club education should look at. Another fact I look at is if the creator is pushing education. If there is more emphasis on merchandise or asking for donations you’ve got the wrong creator.

There are two types of creators. Educational and Entertainment influencers. Make sure the influencer you go to specifically states which one of these they are. This is especially important when it comes to the biker scene. You will find 90% or more will fall into the entertainment category. Insane Throttle for example is an entertainment platform. The business or Insane Throttle is to bring you Biker News yes, but at the same time we’re based on a Shock Jock Era type of format. The things we put out are considered very edgy and shouldn’t be taken as gospel.

The problem with some influencers is they are not completely honest with their subscribers. Many times an influencer will think about their bottom line instead of the people that made them successful in the first place. Beefing up their credentials as well as outright lying is one of the tactics employed against those that support them. If you’re going to someone talking protocol you better damn well research everything they are telling you. No one can claim to be the all and end all in the motorcycle club scene. Hell, I’ve been in the scene well over 27 years and I still don’t know all the stuff. So if someone hasn’t been in the scene for any length of time I wouldn’t be taking their word as gospel either. Once you hit the street and try to employ some of the nonsense they are preaching you’re going to be in for a rude awakening. So be damn careful who you’re taking advice from.

I’ve been really excited to see the range of new creators coming into this genre or niche as many call it. It’s blown up since the time that I’ve come into it and the range of opinions are fascinating. That’s a double edge sword though, especially the preaching of protocol. When I do subjects on clubs I always say it’s my opinion, better yet I say, “This isn’t gospel, it’s just a stupid radio show.” I say this because I don’t want people to go out on the street and say they heard it from Insane Throttle thinking it was the right opinion. Most of my opinions revolve around what happens here in the Midwest. Things are very different on the coasts for example.

Yes, this is a business for most of us. Why else would we be spending tens of thousands of dollars on equipment? But here is the thing, if your subscribers appreciate what you’re doing they freely donate to your content. When someone is pushing their brand or asking for money constantly they’re not into the lifestyle, they are in it solely for the money. One thing is certain, there are no dues or so-called online church. The very notion of someone pushing this is a total disrespect for clubs and those who actually wear real patches. Ignorance is easy to feed on and money is made everyday throughout the world on the ignorance of people. Don’t be that one moron who is fed into believing something that isn’t real.

Now you have it. The reasons stated above are why certain creators don’t make the list on who people should go to for their advice on clubs. Don’t forget to pass this free newsletter around on your social media and to all your friends. You can find us on all of the following platforms and encourage you to come on by and check out the content we put out.
